Joshua Morris speaking at Tree of Life Scottsdale

As people around our Valley and around the country are increasingly aware, “social distancing” is the best means of stopping COVID-19.  Readers have already seen many venues, churches, and congregations suspending their events temporarily.

Tree of Life Congregation is suspending its Saturday Shabbat services for March 21st and 28th, with re-evaluation and updates to follow.  Watch this space for further news.

Statement from Leader Josh:
“While I do believe in the need to rely on God for our protection and provision and not to forsake the assembling of ourselves, I also believe there is time for wisdom, discernment and civic responsibility.  Let us continue to pray for healing and protection for ourselves as well as for those falling ill as we move through these hard times together protecting the flock that God has left to our care.  We know that God is ultimately in control.”

So far as we know currently, our plans for our Passover Seder on April 9th are still in place.

UPDATE  Thursday, March 19

Biblical Studies Class with Aida Collins will continue each Saturday morning, 10:00 am – Noon.

And, some of our friends have been kind enough to ask about how they can sustain their worship through their financial gifts, and we’re so grateful for that awareness!  Thank You, all!

The answer to these people is to do as a number of our Congregation’s family have been doing for years – donate online!  It is easy, safe, and secure.  Simply go to our DONATE link, and proceed from there.  Gifts may be one-time or recurring, as you choose.  Your kind thoughtfulness is especially appreciated during these times that are difficult for everybody.
